Our Commitment

Privacy by design. We built Hugin Alerts to give you control over your notifications without compromising your privacy. We collect only what's necessary to provide the service, and we never sell your data.

Data Storage and Hosting

All data is stored in the European Union on GDPR-compliant infrastructure. Your event data, device information, and notification history are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

What We Collect

• Device Information: A randomly generated device identifier (no email or password required)
• Event Data: The events you send via the API (system, event, component, description, url fields)
• Device Tokens: Push notification tokens to deliver notifications to your devices
• Usage Data: API request logs, timestamps, and rate limit tracking

Push Notifications

Push notifications are delivered via Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). When you receive a notification, it passes through these third-party services as required by iOS and Android platforms. We do not share your event content with any other third parties.

Data Retention

Event data is retained for 30 days by default. You can delete individual events at any time through the mobile app. When you delete your data, all associated information is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data (data portability)
• Object to processing of your data

Cookies and Tracking

This website does not use cookies or third-party tracking. The mobile apps do not include analytics or advertising SDKs.
